STRATEGY – Reference to Mental Illness – UPDATE
A meeting was held with MOH and a discussion around the action point 3 of
Carer Strategy in reference to mental illness. MOH have
confirmed that they will be looking at the specifications for the mental
health services. Currently they are looking at other sector
areas with a view to reviewing mental health later 2008 or very early in
2009. The intention of the review is to identify ways of
improving services in our area. There is an agreement that MOH
will keep SFNZ in the loop when the review for mental health services
begins. National Office will monitor this area closely.
